1. Residential Clinical Assistant
Residential Clinical Assistant
Paradigm Treatment Centers provides personalized residential psychiatric treatment for California and Texas teens and young adults from ages 12 to 26. With transformative residential facilities in Malibu, California, San Rafael, California, and now within the Austin, Texas area! Paradigm has more than a decade of experience in helping adolescents and young adults address the mental health and co-occurring substance use challenges that are holding them back. As a Residential Clinical Assistant here with Paradigm Treatment Centers, you will be presented with the unique opportunity to partner with and assist our clinical directors and clinical therapists as you guide the residents through their rehabilitative journey.

A Day in the Life of a Residential Clinical Assistant Would Be:
- Guiding residents through daily activities including meal time, group activities, group, and individual therapy, and ensuring an overall productive day for each patient in treatment.
- Promote and maintain a safe and secure environment that allows for the proper delivery of care.
- Assistant in welcoming and intaking new residents as they enter the facilities while ensuring proper comfort and warmth at the start of their new journeys.
- Develops and/or conducts specialized psychoeducational groups to help patients gain additional knowledge while developing skills to aid along the journey of recovery.
- Effectively communicates with all staff on-site regarding patient care and patient updates to include clinical directors, clinical therapists, nursing staff, program directors, and more.
- Utilizes crisis and/or de-escalation intervention practices, when necessary and appropriate, with the patient(s) whose behavior cannot be otherwise supported without such interventions.
- Monitors patient sharps and valuables and labels/handles appropriately, and reports hazards to the proper department as needed for immediate review.
- Provides CPR, wound care, or medication management as needed under the direction of clinical staff.
Exciting Qualities You May Have:
- Experience with behavioral health
- Previous work experience in a clinical or residential setting
- Passion for the field of mental/behavioral health
- Have previously worked with adolescents/young adults or in a youth-focused environment.
- Previous work experience as a Mental Health Technician, Behavioral Health Technician, or Caregiver!

Overnight Residential Clinical Assistant

As Overnight Residential Clinical Assistant here with Paradigm treatment you will provide supervisory support and comfort to clients on their journey to mental wellness.
As an Overnight Residential Clinical Assistant, You Will:
- Supervise and monitor patient’s activities through the night to include preparation for quiet hours and sleep, regular bed checks, wake up calls, etc.
- Regularly conducts 15-minute checks into each patient’s area to ensure proper safety and comfort and place any and all findings into electronic documentation system.
- Administering medications as needed to patients as instructed.
- Performing light house-hold chores as needed to ensure proper upkeep of facilities as needed.

Mental Health Therapist Requirements:
- Previous experience in a clinical setting
- Experience in mental/behavioral health
- Passion and excitement for working with young adults.
- Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in a Doctorate program.
- Licensed, pre-licensed, or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided.
- Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults
- Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive therapy for adolescents with anxiety, depression, and other mental health and behavioral health issues including substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders.
- Maintain in-depth documentation for clinical findings and observations regarding interactions with all assigned patients.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews with parents and clients and synthesize/disseminate significant information to team members.
- Develop and manage rapport with each assigned patient along a 28 to 35-day mental wellness journey.
- Complete and assist participants in aftercare and discharge planning, partner with patient family members and additional clinical teams.
Salary: $35.00 – $48.00 per hour

As an Adolescent Therapist here with Paradigm Treatment Centers, you will be presented with the unique opportunity to provide intensive individual, group, and family therapy to youth clients on their journey to mental wellness.
As an Adolescent Therapist, You Will:
- Provide comprehensive therapy for adolescents with anxiety, depression, and other mental health and behavioral health issues including substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders.
- Maintain in-depth documentation for clinical findings and observations regarding interactions with all assigned patients.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews with parents and clients, and synthesize/disseminate significant information to team members.
- Develop and manage rapport with each assigned patient along 28 to 90-day mental wellness journey here with Paradigm Treatment Centers.
- Complete and assist participants in aftercare and discharge planning in partnership with patient family members and additional clinical team.

As a Registered Nurse Here with Us, You Will:
- Obtain and record vital signs for patients as needed throughout their duration in a residential facility.
- Plans and delivers nursing assessments and interventions related to medication and psychiatric diagnoses of the patient.
- Completes pre-admission triage and determines the appropriateness of admission as patients begin their journey here with us.
- Administers medications to patients consistent with medication policies, practices, and standards that align with organizational standards.
- Documents in the patient’s chart nursing goals, interventions, and clinical outcomes while functioning as an active member of the treatment care planning team.
- Ensures both patients and employees are protected by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

As a Chef here with Paradigm Treatment Centers you will have the ability to develop the menus for our patients as you cater to their dietary and nutritional needs as they work through their rehabilitative journeys.
As the Chef You Will:
- Curate menus that meet a broad range of dietary needs, including but not limited to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, low-sodium, etc.
- Develop and maintain culinary and equipment budgets for the department.
- Working knowledge and management of menu planning, supply ordering, kitchen maintenance, and sanitation standards.
- Manage all nutritional needs of adolescents and young adults, while maintaining dietary needs and exciting taste buds.
